Postgraduate Vacancies leading to a DPhil (PhD)

The Oxford DPhil (PhD) is a full-time research degree and typically takes 3-4 years. You are strongly encouraged to contact your potential supervisor to discuss your Research Proposal before starting the formal application process. Further details on research degrees offered by the Department of Engineering Science can be found here.

Postgraduate studentships associated with specific research projects in the laboratory are posted on the Department of Engineering Science web site.

No funded studentships in the group are currently available. Enquiries from students with their own funding are always welcome.

Potential graduate students seeking funding may also like to look at the different Centres for Doctoral Training running in Oxford. Our group offers projects as part of the Systems Biology and Interdisciplinary Bioscience programmes.

Internships

Undergraduate students supported by vacation bursaries from the Wellcome Trust and EPSRC have previously made strong contributions to our work and we encourage applications through the Department’s Engineering Undergraduate Research Opportunity (EUROP) scheme.
