The first meeting of the new Botnar Biomechanics cluster took place today, showcasing the work of Oxford Mechanbiology and Philippa Hulley, with whom we have worked closely on tendon mechanobiology. Exciting opportunities for interaction and support across Botnar on all things mechano- and bio-! https://twitter.com/biomech_botnar

Fabio Bianchi received minor corrections following his viva on 16th January. His publication record is also increasing with recent articles in Med Eng Phys “Engineering a uniaxial substrate-stretching device …” and Neuroscience “Membrane Mechanical Properties Regulate the Effect of Strain on Spontaneous Electrophysiology” Well done Fabio!
On the first day of the new term I am delighted to welcome new DPhil student Rob Staruch (iCASE DSTL) and new 4YP students Stuart Burch, Lucinda Maxwell and Isobel Patterson to the group.
